Integrity

I'd like to think that I have integrity.

I believe in truth. I believe in acting
on my statements. And yet, though I'd like
to be a man I am a little boy.

I believe in mindless self-indulgence.
I believe in lies and half-truths.
And if I can make fun of you, I will,
because I'm a nice guy.

A guy with no self-control.

I can't even live up to my own standards.
I falter and I fail, and somehow you are to blame.

Because it can't be MY fault.
